The Jetsons Capsule Car – 2014 Hot Wheels

Well, here is the 2014 Hot Wheels Jetsons Capsule Car…

When I saw the spoof that was released as an April Fools joke I thought to myself, ‘Hey, that would be a pretty cool piece’.

As time went on, I saw the prototype. I was excited that this casting was in development and was moving forward towards reality.

Online after the casting first started showing up, the casting looked great to me. The card art really set it off.

And here, anything positive that I had in me for the Hot Wheels Jetsons Capsule Car ends.

You might want to think again before opening it

Regardless of what it is, I open everything. You should know that by now. By following my own rules, I think I messed up on this one. This one should have been left in the blister.

Casting Construction

The upper portion of the casting (light green part) is metal. The dark green part visible in the pictures is plastic. The base itself as seen in the last picture is metal.

I guess in summary once the card art is gone, the Hot Wheels Jetsons Capsule Car looses something. It looks empty. I had to do something to dress up the pictures.

As a side note this casting has been hard to find, but it is NOT a Treasure Hunt. Here is a link to our guide on How to Identify a Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt.

Here are 3 pictures of the Hot Wheels Jetsons Capsule Car

I didn’t take too many shots of this casting. I might go back and re-shoot with some new ideas but for now this is all I’ve got…

You should have got a shot still in the package before you open it. I do that sometimes, just in case something like this happens.

Luckily I remove the blister with acetone or make a cut along the sides and bottom edge with a razor blade. I think I can fake a carded shot.
