Bat Rod – Our First Featured Custom!

If you are into diecast, I am sure you have seen your fair share of customs. There are many boards out there that showcase the talents of many builders.

A little way back, I was part of a build group on Facebook called Building the Hottest Wheelz. I had always tried to get in on some of the builds but I never had the time to finish anything. I saw the group members talents grow through various contests. One builder in particular caught my eye with some of the builds he was doing.

With current technology, it is rather easy to cast resin at home. You can buy parts off the internet for use on customs. But this guy scratch built just about everything! The guy I am talking about is known on Facebook as Jimi’s Hotwheels.

Jimi has built many outstanding customs, but the one that stands out the most to me is something that he has named The Bat Rod.

The Bat Rod originated from the original BAT Build-Off in August of 2012. Entrants had a month to start from nothing and create a finished custom.
