Happy Veterans Day. I picked the Hot Wheels 65 Ford Mustang Fastback from 2009 for today’s Mustang Monday. I got this car when my dad took my brother and I to Beloit Autorama. I think I was 9 at the time. If you haven’t been to Autorama and are near the area, I highly suggest going. It’s got to be the largest car show in the Midwest. Oh and of course they sell Hot Wheels…

The Hot Wheels 65 Ford Mustang Fastback I am writing about was produced in 2009 and was a part of the Muscle Mania series. It was #9 of ten total in that series. The body is white with black stripes on the hood and red and black stripes on the sides. It has a black interior and chrome rims with black spokes (OH5SPs) .

Casting History

Now I’m going to give you some facts on the Hot Wheels 65 Ford Mustang Fastback.
This casting was popular and released over the years numerous times.

The casting was first released in 2008. It was designed by Alec Tam. It’s first released was in the mainline and was offered with base colors red, white, black, and silver.
In 2009 Hot Wheels introduced the Muscle Mania series with white (my post subject), orange metallic, and metal flake dark orange. The same year they also created the 9th Annual Convention Charity Car in pearl white.
In 2010 The Faster Than Ever series came out with 2 variations of silver, 2 variations of red and a yellow casting.
In 2011, The Street Beasts series had a metallic orange, red, black, and blue release while the Garage series came with a white and a metallic grey.
This year (2013) they added the Mustang to the Muscle Mania set with both a grey and sky blue release.
