Prototipo Alfa Romeo BAT 9
I have been going through my collection and decided to open the Prototipo Alfa Romeo BAT 9 tonight. I remember purchasing this car back in 2005. Some may say the casting is odd, but I think that just lends to it’s appeal.
This casting is another example of a tool that Hot Wheels only used one time. The casting made it’s one and only appearance in 2005 as part of the Realistix First Edition lineup.
The BAT is based off of an actual Alfa Romeo prototype. Unfortunately, the BAT never saw production. Maybe for the 50s it was simply too much ahead of its time.
