Hot Wheels Subaru WRX Sti – 2014 Treasure Hunt

From the 2014 Treasure Hunt series, here is the Hot Wheels Subaru WRX Sti. I pulled this one from my sons collection. He picked it up over the weekend at our local diecast club meeting. Unlike a lot of people, he didn’t buy it because it was a ‘hunt’. He bought it because he liked it. That is the most important rule of the hobby – COLLECT WHAT YOU LIKE!

Here’s my short review

I think in general this version looks ok. Never am I a fan of colored windows. Put clear or smoked windows on this and I think it would look much better. The wheels fall into the same boat. The FTE2 (Faster Than Ever 2) wheels are one of my least favorite ‘active’ wheels in the Hot Wheels arsenal.

For the style of the car, I think the tampo work is good – the quality seems to be pretty decent as well. The WRX has more than simple detail tampos, but to me, it’s not overdone.

It’s a (hidden) Treasure Hunt for 2014 so the likely hood of them hanging around is unlikely.
