Is this a Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt? A common question full of excitement that is often asked and often shot down…

We’ll make this quick – here’s a few notes. Hot Wheels has used the ‘Low Production’ or ‘Treasure Hunt’ symbol MANY times in the past on various castings. Regular Treasure Hunts have been using the symbol since 2013. The symbol has been used on a few Color Racers recently. In all instances, the symbol has held NO significance. If you care to find out more about Treasure Hunts, here is a link to an article I wrote on How To Identify A Treasure Hunt.
I am putting a list together to help identify the non-low production symbol wearing castings. I hope that this list helps clarify these questions. If you have any more that you’d like added to the list, please send me an email or comment below to tell me what I may have missed.
