Lesney Matchbox TV Service Van (62b)

I won’t lie. I don’t know much at all about Lesney Matchbox. I picked up the Lesney Matchbox TV Service Van today, well, because it looked interesting.

Just about any collector has a decent chance of running out to the store and picking up the current ‘flavor of the month’. Cars like this are unique – it’s the only one like this. Unlike the blister queens of today, cars such as the well loved Lesney Matchbox TV Service Van seen below have had many miles put on throughout the years. Pieces like this will always have a place in my collection. Some may think pieces like this are junk and hold no value. To me, the character alone is priceless.
